The Angel Forum is coming out of Vancouver for the first time in many years and they chose Nanaimo because they see what is happening in our region.  On their newsletter they recently announced

We are going overseas …..

To Nainamo that is. On January 24th, 2019, for an afternoon of panel discussions, a workshop and a networking event. The support received from local counterparts for this and other initiatives has been very, very encouraging and is so much appreciated. As one of them mentioned in an e-mail this morning:  “we all look forward to covering some exciting ground in 2019”.

The Angel Forum will be hosting their inaugural half day workshop, panel discussion and networking event on January 24th, 2019.

“We hope this will be the first of many more next year, resulting in closer ties between the communities on the island and Vancouver.”

This interactive workshop is an introduction to angel investing for new angel investors and entrepreneurs who are getting into raising funds and want to better understand angel expectations. The workshop will be highly interactive and a panel will share their – very often educational but also entertaining – war stories.

Angel Investing as a way for investors to get involved with promising technology ventures has garnered quite some attention lately. The volatility in stock markets has brought about strong interest in private investment opportunities.

Angel Forum is one of the longest serving angel networks in Canada and has successfully introduced early stage investors to promising technology ventures for more than 20 years through its investor forums and educational workshops. The Forum is a non-profit organization and companies have raised over $35 million directly through our forum and a multiple of that through our network.

Seating for the workshop and networking event is limited so we encourage you to: Register Here
