New 172 Room Marriott Courtyard set to open in Downtown Nanaimo in December 2020

NANAIMO, British Columbia (March 13, 2019) – PEG Companies (“PEG”) a Utah-based commercial developer, today announced plans to begin construction on a nine-storey Courtyard by Marriott hotel.

The property, located at 100 Gordon St. across from the Vancouver Island Conference Center, will consist of 172 rooms and offer industry-leading amenities including a charming street-level cafe, large pool, luxury spa, and all-inclusive fitness center.

The $22 million project is set to start construction in April this year.  Nanaimo is the second largest urban area on Vancouver Island and is positioned for growth with its easy access to Vancouver and growing tourism industry, making it a great location for a Courtyard by Marriott.
